General Guidelines

Admission is purely based on merit and is subject to availability of seats, as per the directions issued by the MH-CET, University of Mumbai and Government of Maharashtra (subject to revision from time to time). A transparent admission procedure is followed, strictly based on the norms laid down by the University of Mumbai and GoM. Any modification in admission guidelines will be notified on the college notice board at the time of admission. The Management or the College does not accept any donation or capitation fee for admission to any courses offered. The public is cautioned not to fall prey to any misleading information regarding admission in the college through donations.


CENTRALIZED ADMISSION PROCESS(CAP)

The Unaided Private Professional Educational Institution shall admit candidates through a Centralised Admission Process (CAP) as referred in sub-section [3] of section 3 of the Maharashtra Unaided Private Professional Educational Institutes [Regulation of Admission and Fees] Act, 2015. The stages of CAP shall be as stated below:


  • Display or publishing of Information Brochure by the Competent Authority
  • Filling Online Application Form by the candidate for participation in the Centralised Admission Process
  • Confirmation of Online Application Form and Document Verification at Facilitation Centre by the candidate in person
  • Display or Publishing of provisional merit lists, submission of grievances, if any, and display or publishing of final merit lists
  • Display of available Category-wise Seats (Seat Matrix) for CAP Rounds I, II and III
  • Filling up and confirmation of Online Option Form having preferences of Institutions before CAP Round I. Candidates may fill in choice of Institutes in decreasing order of their preference as specified by Competent Authority. The option form once confirmed shall be considered for allotment in CAP Rounds I, II and III.
  • Display of Provisional Allotment of CAP Rounds I, II and III indicating allotted institute.
  • Reporting and accepting offered seat will be as per the allotment of the CAP Round I, II and III, by the Candidate at Reporting Centre.


During The Cap, Before Accepting The Allotted Seat, A Candidate Can Opt To ‘Freeze’ Or ‘Float’ The Choice Of Academic Program For Subsequent Round(s), If Any, Of Seat Allocation As Provided Below


  • Freeze: Candidates accept the offered seat and if they do not want to participate in any further rounds of seat allocation, such Candidates will not be considered in subsequent rounds of admission.
  • Float: Candidates accept the offered seat and indicate that, if admission to an academic program in any Institution of higher preference is offered, they will accept it. Else, they will continue with the currently accepted academic programme. Such Candidates will be considered in subsequent round of admission.
  • For candidates who choose the Float option, and secures a seat of his/her choice of higher preference, then it would automatically result in the forfeiture of the seat accepted by the candidates in the earlier round.
  • Floating options will not be available to a Candidate who is admitted to his First Choice.

The Fees Regulating Authority constituted under section 11 (2) (3) (4) of the Maharashtra Unaided Private Professional Educational Institutions [Regulation Admission & Fees] Act, 2015, approves tuition & development fees. (To be announced)


Eligibility


Eligibility for Appearing to MAH-LL.B 5 Yrs. Integrated Course CET- 2024

The candidate should be an Indian Citizen. The candidate belonging to the type [NRI, PIO, OCI and Foreign National Students] with following Academic Eligibility is not required to appear for CET Examination.


Educational Qualifications 5 Years Integrated Course

(a) An applicant who has successfully completed Senior Secondary School Course (+2) or equivalent (such as 11+1, A level in Senior Secondary School Leaving Certificate course) from a recognized Board/University in India or outside or from Secondary Board or equivalent, constituted or recognized by the Union or by a State Government or from any equivalent institution from a Foreign Country recognized by the Government of that Country for the purpose of issue of qualifying certificate on successful completion of the course Examination, with minimum of 45% marks in aggregate for Open and Economically Weaker Section (EWS) Category candidates and Outside Maharashtra State Candidates (OMS) i.e., All India Candidates. Candidates belonging to SC and ST Category from the State of Maharashtra with minimum 40% Aggregate Marks and VJNT, SBC, OBC, Category belonging to State of Maharashtra with Minimum 42% Aggregate marks;

(b) The applicants who have obtained +2 Higher Secondary Pass certificate or First Degree Certificate after processing studies in Distance or Correspondence Method is eligible for admission to the course; provided that, the applicants who have obtained 10+2 through Open University] system directly without having any Basic Qualification (Standard X) are not eligible for LL. B-5 Yrs. CET. Further, applicants who have obtained 10th Std./Secondary Schooling Certificate Examination, in a Single Sitting Examination without having basic qualification [1st to 9th Standard of Schooling] are not Eligible for Admission. Further provided that, the candidates who are appearing/appeared for the qualifying examination (regular examination of that Academic Year) are also eligible to apply for the Entrance Examination. Such candidates will be eligible for admission only if they produce the provisional Degree/ certificate of the qualifying examination and the marklists of all parts/attempts of the qualifying examination at the time of admission.

Educational Qualifications for LL.B. (Three Years)

(a) Candidate should be a graduate in any faculty of any University in Maharashtra established by an act of Parliament or by a State Legislature or an equivalent National Institution recognized as a Deemed to be University or Foreign University recognized as equivalent to the status of an Indian University by an authority competent to declare equivalence, with minimum 45% of Marks in aggregate (That is 45 % marks for all the parts of the Degree Examination taken together) in qualifying examination in case of the candidates belongings to Open Category, All India Candidates (OMS) & EWS candidates from the state of Maharashtra, [Candidate belonging to SC and ST Category must have obtained a minimum of 40% marks and VJNT, SBC and OBC Category must have a minimum of 42% marks in the qualifying examination.]

(b) An applicant who has passed the Undergraduate degree of minimum three years and Postgraduate degree of 2/3 years duration from any University mentioned in (a) after completing studies in the 10+2+3+2/3 pattern, with regular studies at the secondary and higher secondary levels. Postgraduate diploma will not be considered as Postgraduate Degree; provided that, the applicants who have obtained +2 Higher Secondary Pass Certificate or First Degree Certificate by distance or correspondence method shall also be considered as eligible for CET of the 3 Years Law Courses. The applicant who has passed the qualifying examination (10+2, U.G. & P.G.) in a single sitting examination without having basic qualifications of (10+2+3) is not eligible. +2 is the Basic Qualification for LL.B.-3 Yrs. Course.

Further provided that, no candidate from the Open University having a degree contrary to the U.G.C. Act and Regulations and contrary to Rules of Legal Education shall be eligible. Further provided that, the candidates who are appearing/ have appeared for the qualifying examination UG or PG regular examination of the Academic Year are also eligible to apply for the Entrance Examination. Such candidates become eligible for admission only if they produce the provisional Degree/certificate of the qualifying examination and the marklists of all parts of qualifying examination at the time of CAP Application form filling.

LL.M. Program Eligibility

  • (a) Admission of the students shall be made in accordance with the merits at the LL.M. Entrance Examination conducted by University of Mumbai and marks secured at the LL.B. Degree.
  • (b) Candidates seeking LL.M. Admission are required to appear for the entrance conducted by University of Mumbai. The minimum qualification required for a candidate of general category applying for admission to the LL.M. Course is a LL.B. degree from University of Mumbai or a degree recognized as equivalent thereto. However, candidates belonging to reserved category may apply for with a pass class.
  • A student who has passed the LL.B. Degree from any University other than Mumbai University is required to obtain a Provisional Statement of Eligibility Certificate from Eligibility Section, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Bhavan, Santacruz, Vidyanagari, Mumbai - 400098. Such a candidate is required to pay a fee for document verification as prescribed by Mumbai University (subject to revision from time to time) for confirmation of validity of their certificates of their previous University and confirmation of eligibility to their LL.M. course.
