OVERVIEW OF LIBRARY
The library is the soul of any educational institute. The library is spread over a vast area with reference books, encyclopaedias, magazines, journals, and newspapers. Students can expand their horizons of knowledge by making use of books in the library. Thakur Ramnarayan College of Law Library caters the needs of Students, Staff, Researcher and Faculty of the College. The library has a collection of Books, Journals, Magazines, Online Resources, Question Papers, Newspaper, etc. With an aim to provide easy access to the right information at the right time to all its users, the library offers focused services to support the learning & teaching; research and development activities of its patrons in the following manner:
- Library Membership
- Circulation
- Reading facility
- New Arrivals
- Previous Year Exam, Question Papers
- Newspaper Clippings
RULES
- While entering the library readers are not allowed to carry their personal belongings (bags, briefcases, parcels etc.) and eatable items (biscuits, cookies, fruits, chocolates, cold drinks, tea/coffee, etc.).
- Always carry your library membership card when you visit the library, failing so will forbid your entry to the library.
- All the Members of the Library will present the Library Card with books at the Circulation Counter for Issue/Return of the Books.
- Any conversation, discussion, group study, smoking, eating, drinking (except water), sleeping is strictly prohibited in the library.
- Books or other materials taken from the stacks should not be re-shelved by the readers. Please leave it on the Circulation Counter only.
- Readers should not deface, mark, cut, mutilate, or damage library material in any way.
- Readers should remain quiet in the library and should not disturb other users in any way.
- Library's computing facilities and database access is meant for TRCL faculty members, students, staff and registered library members only.
- Users of the library should note that all e-resources subscribed are licensed materials and cannot be shared with outside communities as it may lead to copyright/licence violation.
- Magazine, Journals, Newspaper, Audio Video, CD/DVD and Reference Books will not be issued to Home.
- Materials borrowed should be returned on or before the due date stamped, if returned late overdue fine will be charged Rs. 5 For Per Book/Per Day.
- Enter your name and Sign in the register kept at the Circulation counter whenever entering in the library.
- In case of loss of book(s), the borrower shall replace the book(s) of the same edition or latest edition or pay double the cost of the book after seeking permission from the librarian.
- Members of the library are not allowed to enter inside the Circulation Counter without the Permission of the Librarian.
- Members have to immediately inform the Librarian in case of lost membership card and have to pay Rs. 100 along with an application letter for producing duplicate library cards.
